Geospatial Policy and Legal Issues

The dynamics in geospatial industry remain a challenge for policy-makers and lawyers for coping with the developments and providing a reliable and supportive regulatory framework. Regular discussions among the policy-makers and geospatial community could help to bridge the gap between these regulators and practitioners. BHO Legal will be conducting a dedicated workshop on Geospatial Policy and Legal issues for the second time at Geospatial World Forum. In this half-day workshop, representatives of governments, European Commission, leading geospatial companies and consultant experts will discuss policy initiatives to stimulate geospatial and Earth observation markets, public open data policies and access conditions to public data, persisting regulatory barriers, and specific legal issues on cloud computing and data protection.
