Lena Hallin-Pihlatie

Biography Lena Hallin-Pihlatie is a senior GIS expert at the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) with a M. Sc. in geography from the University of Helsinki. At SYKE she is responsible for the provision of Finnish Land Parcel Identification System and related IACS data to users in the environmental administration and for maintaining and developing a national database on Finnish regional land use plan data. In recent years she has carried out coordinative and technical tasks related to the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive at SYKE and in Finland in general. Presently she acts as the facilitator of the Land Cover and Land Use Cluster at the INSPIRE Thematic Cluster platform and takes part in the work carried out by the Eionet Action Group on Land monitoring in Europe (EAGLE) consortium.
