Abstract
Status of INSPIRE Implementation in EU Member States

Co-Author: Stefan Jensen, European Environment Agency

Each year, EU Member States have to report implementation progress on the basis of a set of commonly agreed indicators. Those refer to the metadata, datasets and services available to the INSPIRE user community. The EEA is handling this reporting workflow and thus has first-hand access to the data which should be made available by Member States in the middle of May. The presentation will show the most recent developments based on the reported indicators and also show trends in the implementation progress. While such progress is occurring over the past years, there is a clear difference by Member States and group patterns are emerging. There is also a distinct difference dependent on type of the INSPIRE service provided. There are also some lessons to be learnt on the usefulness and composition of those indicators which will be proposed for future reporting exercises. From the reporting experiences and based on the interest of a subset of countries, a dashboard is under development which eases reporting and the comparability of data. The dashboard and its functionally will be presented.
