Biography
Nuno Charneca (National Laboratory for Civil Engineering - Post-Doc position at Hydraulics and Environment Department). Undertakes R&D in the fields of geographic information science applied to water resources management and environment. Main areas of activity: real time monitoring; environmental observatories, including sensor networks and robotized platforms; GIS and WebGIS for desktop and mobile platforms. He holds a PhD thesis in geographic information modelling applied to water resources management. He is involved in AquaGIS Project and COST Action on Research into Geospatial Information Crowdsourcing: software and methodologies for harnessing geographic information from the crowd (ENERGIC)
