Biography
Mário Caetano is a principal investigator of Directorate-General of Territorial Development (DGT) and he is Deputy Director-General of DGT since October 2014 with responsibilities on geographic information, remote sensing and the national spatial data infrastructure. He is also an Associate Professor at Information Management School from the New University of Lisboa (NOVA IMS). Mário Caetano is the Portuguese delegate for the European Space Agency (ESA) Earth Observation Programme Board (PBEO), for the European Commission Copernicus Committee and for the Group of Earth Observation (GEO) and author of more than 150 publications in books, journals and conference proceedings.
