Abstract
BIM-based Data Mining System Framework to support a Effectiveness Decision-making for Energy Usage Management of Building Space

Co-Author: Hyun Sang, Choi, Research Fellow, Korea Institute of Construction Technology

Buildings consume 40% of global primary energy. For sustainable buildings, a effectiveness decision-making method is more and more important for management of building energy usage. Recently, it's possible to simulate energy usage data using the advanced technology such as BIM. In the future, a data mining method for energy usage management will be needed to support a effectiveness decision-making by using the various data set such as a energy simulation, sensor-based data including facility management data. In this research, we proposed BIM-based Data Mining system framework for supporting a effectiveness decision-making of building Space Energy usage Management (B-DM4SEM). The proposed system framework considers variability and extensibility functionally. To identify the effectiveness, we developed the scenario related to building energy management, conduct it and analyze the results.
