Biography
Eva Kubátová works for Ministry of Interior, eGovernment Department. She coordinates activities of the Ministry in spatial information. She graduated from Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, in numerical mathematics. She has been working in ICT since 1981. She started to work in position of software engineer, then she worked on position of IT manager for District Council in the city of Most. Later she worked for Municipality of Most in the position of Town Development Department Head. She was responsible for urban planning and municipal GIS building up until she joined Ministry of the Interior.

Abstract
GeoInfoStrategy - The Czech Republic at the Beginning of the New Era of NSDI Development


Czech Government approved 'Strategy of development of National Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Czech Republic up to 2020' (hereinafter referred to as "GeoInfoStrategy") in October 2014. GeoInfoStrategy approval represents key milestone of SDI development in Czech Republic. We have entered the new period of the NSDI development that central coordination of development activities is typical for. GeoInfoStrategy has been worked out under Ministry of Interior coordination, in close collaboration with Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre, key ministries in spatial information field and Ministry of Finance. Both public and private sector bodies, academic and professional associations have been involved in the two-year project resulting in GeoInfoStrategy. We try hard to ensure the GeoInfoStrategy Project, in the phase of GeoInfoStrategy follow-up Action Plan working out at present, is open and transparent. Approved GeoInfoStrategy presents strategic framework for spatial information field as an integral component of Czech eGovernment; it develops main eGovernment principles and focuses on addressing specific topics in spatial information field in Czech Republic. The main purpose of the GeoInfoStrategy presentation is to provide basic information on the GeoInfoStrategy Project progress, organizational aspects, foundations, objectives and proposed key measures to reach the main objectives in spatial information field: 1) to set up effective coordination and integration of public bodies and commercial sector activities; 2)­ to contribute to setting up better conditions for major improvement of eGovernment services regarding spatial information. Attention will be paid to the key topics that represent the design part of GeoInfoStrategy: a)­ changing the regulatory framework, b) setting of spatial information activities coordination, c) building of National Integration Platform for Spatial Information, d)­ creating National Set of Spatial Objects, d) building of National Geoportal, e)­ provision of spatial information services in public administration, f) publishing open data and open services in spatial information field, g) using spatial information and spatial services by third parties, h) human resources and training in spatial information field, i)­ fulfillment of international obligations and international interoperability. In conclusion, the current state of GeoInfoStrategy Action Plan with deadline of June 2015 will be mentioned.
