The Portuguese Network of CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Stations) - ReNEP, managed by the Directorate General for Territorial Development (DGT), has two main objectives: the maintenance of the national geodetic reference frame and to provide a real-time precise positioning service. Presently (December 2014) the network consists of 46 stations: 40 in Mainland, 4 in the Azores and 2 in Madeira. Some of ReNEP's stations contribute to the definition of global and European reference frames: 6 belong to the EPN (EUREF Permanent Network) and 3 of these also to the IGS (International GNSS Service) network. This infrastructure allows different kinds of users to easily access the geodetic reference frame ETRS89/PT-TM06, both in real time and post-processing. From the tests conducted so far show, we can conclude that ReNEP provide RTK positioning with a planimetric accuracy better than 5 cm. All data made available by ReNEP are managed and distributed by DGT, supplied in standard formats and free of charge. At present there are more than 1600 registed users of the RTK service, with over 750 daily connections to the server. In this talk we will present the current status of ReNEP, focusing on the products and services, their evolution and the accuracy achieved in the positioning.
