Biography
Mr Engman is CEO of Agency9 and has been instrumental in developing the company to a world player in online 3D visualisation with customers internationally and acknowledged with leadership awards in the sector of urban planning for its customer projects. Mr Engman has a background in management positions in companies like IBM, BMC Software and Ericsson and has since 2003 been in start-up companies in mobile and media software market.

Abstract
Extended Investments in Terrain and 3D City Models Driven by WebGL Technology for Provision of Large Scale Models on Web and Mobile

The development of technologies for capturing and analysing 3D spatial data has been remarkable over the last few year. Still many customer hesitate to invest in 3D models due to lack of viable business case. Provision of large 3D data as high quality visualisation on web and mobile leveraging WebGL/HTML5 will make 3D more available in applications and integrated in existing applications. Identification of relevant new use cases are important, but also simplification of user interaction to enable wider deployment of services. These applications will change the user behaviour and drive investments. This presentation will share examples and lessons learned from customer projects in city planning, GIS and Energy and also as online demonstration.
