Biography
Working for the National Institute of Geographical and Forest Information of France (also called IGN-F - www.ign.fr) since one year, my job consists of developing and maintaining the French Geoportal infrastructure (Géoportail - www.geoportail.gouv.fr). The first mission of Géoportail is to provide a web access for everyone to the national data produced by IGN and its partners. This web access is based on several web services which are often OGC compliant (WMTS, WMS, WFS, WPS, etc.). Theses services are used to provide the internet web site, the mobile web site, an iOS and Android app and the Geoportail API but also can be used directly in any applications which handle the OGC standard. In this context, we also have to provide INSPIRE compliant web services.

Abstract
IGN-F Feedbacks for Setting Up a INSPIRE Compliant Download Service with Deegree

The mission of the IGN-F Geoportail is to guarantee the access of IGN-F's data for everyone. The Geoportail is a platform composed by an API, several web-services, a statistical tool, and many routines to organize data in our warehouse. This ensemble is able to provide a workflow between the data owner and the client. In the INSPIRE context, we have set up a download service (WFS) based on the tool “Deegree" and we like to share our experience during this geospatial world forum. The presentation will content these points: 1) The general context where this service is implanted. More detail about our platform and INPSIRE constraints and strengths. 2) The global workflow we choose to adapt our methods to be INSPIRE compliant. 3) Why we choose Deegree as main tool for this service and a more detailed presentation of Deegree. 4) The final architecture and workflow. 5) Difficulties we have encountered. Hopefully, this presentation will regroup all our experience in setting up an INSPIRE compliant WFS without being too much technical. The aim is not to be a tutorial, all implementation is viable and we are interested by all experience other participants can offer.
