Biography
From 1992-2000 Karam Hasanov was Head of Department at the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Antimonopoly Policy and Support for Entrepreneurship. In 2000-2001 he was Deputy Minister of State Property of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Between 2001-2005, Mr. Hasanov was serving as Director of Department on Management and Privatisation of State Property at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 2005-2009 he was Chairperson of the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Management of State Property. The State Committee on Property Issues is a central executive power authority which manages privatisation of stateowned property, pre-privatisation rehabilitation and restructuring of public enterprises, post-privatisation support for enterprises, attracting investment to the privatisation process, real estate valuation, inventory and state registration, unified cadastre of real estate as well as address register.
