Biography
Dr the Honourable Abu Twalib Kasenally (born on 10 August 1941) is the Minister of Housing and Lands of Mauritius since September 2008. He occupied the portfolio of the Minister of Public Utilities from July 2005 to September 2008. He has been elected Member of Parliament at the General Elections in July 2005 and re-elected in May 2010. He holds a MBch B from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was formerly a Principal Medical Officer at the Ministry of Health.

On 12 March 2012, he was conferred the National Day Award, the Grand Officer of Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (G.O.S.K) for long and distinguished service in the medical, political and social fields.
