Abstract
From sensors to solutions - from data to intelligence

Over the past decade, a tremendous focus has been placed on advances in sensor technology. While it remains true that in remote sensing and photogrammetry "input" affects "output", more and more focus is placed on workflows and smart ways to quickly extract intelligence from a variety of data sets. This holds true for traditional airborne sensor applications, as well as the growing market segment of UAV-based mapping. Drawing on real examples from 3D urban mapping and inspection tasks, this presentation highlights recent advances in creating actionable intelligence through smart solutions.
