Omar M. Al Shaiba is Director of Spatial Data Division at the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) in Abu Dhabi since 2002.

Omar holds a master certificate in project management from George Washington University, a Master's degree in GIS and Remote sensing, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Security from United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).
