Dr. Brian Gray

Biography Dr. Brian Gray is Assistant Deputy Minister, Earth Sciences Sector and Chief Scientist for Natural Resources Canada. Previously, he was the Assistant Deputy Minister for Science and Technology at Environment Canada. Before joining the government of Canada in 2005, Dr. Gray served in various executive positions in the private sector. Throughout his career, Dr. Gray has served on numerous advisory bodies and boards. Notably, he served 5 years as the Canadian focal point for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research, and he co-chaired the research and development working group of the Canada-U.S. Clean Energy Dialogue. Currently, Dr. Gray is a board member for ArcticNet, and is the founding co-chair for the Federal Committee on Geomatics and Earth Observations.
