Abstract
GIS-based indexing of electricity consumers and asset database on the electrical system network for a Smart City Project in Puducherry

The main goal of the project is to show the Transmission Network (along with Latitude-Longitude) all assets and Customers covered by 66kV/33KV/11KV and LT network entities of the UTILITY & Preparing Master plan through GIS platform. Region wise selection for APD (Accelarated Power Development) project where linking of the consumer database with the base map and electrical network entities and electrical network map will represent the relationship of consumer database and electrical network entities spatially in relation to land base features. For the execution of the project a work matrix diagram has been prepared For the execution of the project a work matrix diagram has been prepared which is showing the hierarchy of work distribution with an estimated team member. Tentative time for execution of Project is 45 to 60 days including consumer (if all requirement are fulfill and there is no complication for permission). GIS based Electrical asset and consumer database index prevents all the power distribution draw backs, stores consumer information, monitors electric consumption, sets the power distribution future plan as per increasing demand. In modern era GIS based electrical utility (Asset basis) management is one of the important solutions for t customized consumer facility services.
