Craig Williams

Biography Craig Williams is Chief of the Field Information Services Section (FISS) of OCHA, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The section focuses on the role of information in emergencies and supports a community of 150 OCHA information management staff in the field. He has worked in the humanitarian field since 1999 on coordination, refugee reintegration, food security and mine action, but always with a focus on the collection, management and analysis of information. Craig has been posted to Cambodia, Myanmar, Kosovo, Eritrea and Thailand and has been involved in over twenty emergencies, often as part of the first wave of emergency responders. He has an MA in geographic information systems (GIS) and development from the University of Durham
