Pascal Berteaud

Biography Mr. Pascal Berteaud has been Director General of the National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information (IGN) of France since February 2012. He is a General State Civil Engineer. He succeeded in the position of Head of Development and Urban Planning in the Administration of La Réunion (1989-1993), Deputy Director of Prospective Projects within the Water Agency of Loire-Bretagne Region (1993-1995), Adviser to the Minister for Overseas (1995-1997), Director of the Public Service at the National Geological Survey (1997-2001), Director of Water Policy at the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development (2002-2008), Director General of the Planning and Development Authorities at Marne-la-Vallée City (2008-2010), and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transportation and Housing (2010-2012). He is a chevalier of the Legion of Honour and a chevalier of the National Order of Merit.
