Georgios Sarantakos earned his diploma from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. Georgios has earned over 10 years of experience on energy related issues working for the private sector, global initiatives and international organizations. Currently, Georgios holds the position of the Expert on Sustainability and Energy issues at the GEO Secretariat in Geneva.

GEO's Contribution to the Achievement of International Energy Goals

The Energy Programme team of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) consists of scientists from around the globe that work together in order to address specific needs of decision makers at multiple levels. This presentation will provide the audience with an overview of how the GEO Energy Team contributes to the achievement of international energy targets and concrete examples at different sectors and scales.
