Abstract
Integration of Geographical Information Systems and Spatial Databases Applied to the Management of Municipal Cadastre

As part of the initiative to improve and implement electronic government by the top management of the provincial municipality of Huancavelica is building geographic information system for the management of municipal cadastre. With the support of private enterprise IdeasG SAC, one of the few private companies in Peru, that performs research and development in areas of Geotecnologies. The system is an integrated platform of technologies such as spatial database, web map server, desktop GIS for advanced users in editing, analysis and geoprocessing, GIS via web for user's inquiries, searches and reports submitted as geoportal and mobile GIS device users who are in the field, which have the need to update daily operational information. The system has been designed in order to automate municipal cadastre processes according to current legislation of national cadastre system of Peru; this is how the system responds to official formats and reports of cadaster. This solution is capable of reporting strategic and operational summaries to the municipal areas as income, urban planning, civil defense, public cleaning, security and other areas involved with land information management.
