Abstract
SwitzerlandMobility: NSDI for All

SwitzerlandMobility is the national network for non-motorized traffic (hiking, cycling, mountain biking, skating and canoeing), in particular in the leisure and tourism fields. By offering various services, SwitzerlandMobility makes it easy for guests to actively experience Switzerland in attractive ways. Within its network for non-motorized traffic, SwitzerlandMobility also coordinates cooperation between public sector and private service providers. SwitzerlandMobility also stands for a coordinated and effective marketing of active recreation in Switzerland. SwitzerlandMobility divides its offers into the sectors of: - Hiking in Switzerland - Cycling in Switzerland - Mountainbiking in Switzerland - Skating in Switzerland - Canoeing in Switzerland National, regional and local routes have been developed for all these groups with standard signalization according to common rules. These represent a selection of the most attractive routes for several-day tours in Switzerland. They have been arranged in consultation with the cantonal and municipal authorities and the Swiss federal and cantonal environmental authorities. All SwitzerlandMobility routes are linked to the services of numerous partners. These include public transport, rental of cycles etc., overnight accommodation and bookable offers with luggage transport on national and several regional routes. A comprehensive website provides information on all SwitzerlandMobility routes and services, as well as extensive information on sightseeing attractions, in an internationally unique quality. It also features many beautiful and informative route guides.
