Biography
Director Avenir Suisse is the Director for French-speaking Switzerland at Avenir Suisse since 2002. Xavier Comtesse studied mathematics, and gained a PhD in natural sciences from the University of Geneva. After ten years in academic circles and another ten years with start-ups, he spent a further ten years in public administration, the last seven as a scientific diplomat in the US. Xavier was the first Swiss scientific consul in Boston, where he started Swissnex.

Cadastre: Vision for the Future - The Impact of New Dimensions

Cadastral systems will in the future promote new forms of representation that use mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets more than desktop computer. This change of "device" is central because tomorrow it will be the land itself that may give indications of places, actions and information.
