Abstract WP3 - Data Harmonisation
The IMPULS project consists of 6 work packages (WP), of which WP 3, data harmonisation, aims at harmonising selected datasets from local specifications to INSPIRE specifications in order to fulfil the requirements from the INSPIRE directive. Harmonisation of the datasets will further allow data to be used in cross-border applications, due to achieved interoperability.
National Agency for Cadastre,Cartography and NSDI, which are included in this project are generally responsible as the main producers / providers of data for most of the themes from INPIRE Annexes 1 and 2. Most of the data sets are in digital form, in according with national standards. Other data themes, particularly in Appendix 3, are covered by the other public organizations.
In the first phase of the WP3, work will be focused on harmonisation of the datasets residing within the beneficiary organisations (internal data). The harmonisation will be carried out by the beneficiary organisations themselves with support of Swedish experts. As a result, the organisations will gain experience in data harmonisation, which can be used for harmonisation of additional datasets.
The presentation will give an overview of the current and planned activities in this work package, which are implemented in order to achieve the set goals.
