Biography
Senior Sludge Treatment Specialist in Águas de Portugal (AdP) Group, Pedro Béraud is responsible for studies and projects in sewage and sludge areas. During his professional career he had relevant positions in this sector, especially:
• Coordinator of Wastewater Specialized Committee (in Portuguese: CEAR) of the Portuguese Association of Water Distribution and Wastewater Drainage (in Portuguese: APDA), since April 2009.
• Member of the Board of Directors of Trevo Oeste – Tratamento e Valorizacao de Efluentes Suiniculas, SA, appointed by AdP - Aguas de Portugal, SGPS, SA. Since July 2009 to October 2014.
• Coordinator of the Southern Region Operation Centers (below the Rio Mondego) in Lusagua Serviços Ambientais, S.A. and was responsible for the operation of dozens of WasteWater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for 13 years.

He is the Portuguese Representative of APDA, the Portuguese Association for Water Services in the wastewater commission of EurEau, the European Federation of National Associations of Water Services, since September 2009. He has experience with reporting of data at national level and will also bring some views from the European water sector on the topic.
