Biography
Barbara Kosztra is a leading land monitoring specialist at the Hungarian Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing (F?MI) holding a degree of agricultural engineering specialized in landscape management. She has taken part in activities of EEA?s land topic centres since 2002, primarily in tasks related to QC/QA of European land cover products (currently of the Copernicus Land activities) and development of land-related indicators. As member of the Corine Land Cover Technical Team, she has been a key actor in CLC technical coordination in 39 participating countries since 2005. In the Eionet Action Group on Land monitoring in Europe (EAGLE) she plays role in developing a European LC data model and concept following the principle of bottom-up approach.
