Biography
Hinnerk Gildhoff studied computer science with a focus on information- and distributed-systems. He worked several years as a software engineer for IBM as a database developer in the area of high availability and cluster computing. In 2013 he dived into the topic of geospatial data processing and is one of the inventors of the SAP HANA Spatial engine which combines In-Memory technology with column-based storage. Since mid-2014, he is leading the SAP HANA Spatial team and is pushing the idea of spatial processing and spatial analytics into the business world of SAP.
