Biography
Pascal Lory is graduate engineer of the French State in the field of geographic data. He joined IGN, the French National Mapping Agency, in 1983. After beginning his career in topography, he quickly turned to marketing, business and public relations, and then communication. Since November 2013, Pascal Lory has become IGN?s Head of Mission in charge of the ?French National Council for Geographic Information (CNIG) and INSPIRE?, a pivotal position since he is also a board member of AFIGEO and member of the executive committee of EUROGI. The mission?s purpose for Pascal Lory is to provide institutional support for the CNIG and INSPIRE in fields where establishing a dialogue and reaching a consensus is critical.
