Biography
Monica Pepe is a researcher by the Institute for Electromagnetic Sensing of the Environment of the National Research Council of Italy. She obtained his Ph.D. in Physical Geography by the Dept. of Earth Sciences, University of Pavia (Italy), focusing on environmental monitoring. She carries out research in optical remote sensing, and focuses on automatic mapping of the Earth surface (hydrosphere, cryosphere, biosphere, geosphere). She is involved in digital earth research, particularly as regards web services in the framework of the INSPIRE Directive.
