Biography
Danilo Furtado is an Information Systems Management, with a Master degree in Geographical Information Systems and Science. He works at Information Tecnology Department, Directorate-General of Territorial Development of Portugal (DGT), in Geographic Information System and WebGIS. He mainly use the PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MapServer, GeoServer, MapProxy, Tilecache, QGIS and OpenLayers stack. He participates in the National Geographic Information System (SNIG) and INSPIRE implementation activities, mainly in INSPIRE Services and monitoring working group. Also he is a OSGeo Charter Member of International OSGeo. He is also a founding member of the Portuguese OSGeo local chapter and member of the organization committee of the Portuguese FOSS4G meeting (SASIG 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012).
