Biography
Alexandra Fonseca is a researcher at the Directorate-General for Territorial Development (DGT) - Portugal. She currently develops research on Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) and its role in Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) and other application areas. She has a PhD in Environmental Engineering (1998). Alexandra Fonseca is a delegate in GEO (Group on Earth Observation) Architecture and Data Committee (ADC) and was part of the INSPIRE Expert Group (2001-2007) which led to the adoption of INSPIRE Directive.
