Scope and Objective of the Session:
Plenary Session ‘Convergence: Enabling Geospatial Culture’ is designed to provide dimensions and directions of geospatial technology and its integration for delivering geospatial information and utility to common man, further in turn enabling spatial culture. As we have been witnessing in past few years, geospatial content has become a kind of commodity and is being used in almost all walks of life. However, the same has been made possible by convergence of several core geospatial and non-geospatial technologies and technology developments in each of the respective domain is influencing the ways and means of making spatial data as public commodity. Panel Discussion may revolve around providing an overview of technology developments in different segments, converging together to commoditize spatial information and location intelligence.
