Geospatial technology constitutes an excellent
instrument for data analysis and integration due to its
ability to identify spatial connections between different
information layers providing models for
geomorphologic evolution and predicting changes in
coastal areas. The symposium is an effort to provide a
platform for scientists, engineers, managers, and
policy-makers, administrators to discuss recent
advances and innovative ideas, promote science and
integration of knowledge for hazard management
resulting in the sustainable management of coastal
resources.
The symposium will cover the following:
Geospatial Technology for sustainable coastal
zone management solving different coastal
engineering problems
Exchanging information and addressing
outstanding problems associated with coastal
region
Coastal Changes Processes and Human Influence
on Coasts
Hazard mapping of coastline, Coastal Modeling
and Risk Management
Environmental assessment, modeling and
framework for integrated coastal zone
management
Coastal Pollution Contamination Control and
Disaster Manage
