Biography
Rudolf W. Strohmeier Deputy Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. In this capacity, he oversees the collaborative research activities of the Directorate-General. He acts as European Co-chair of the Executive Committee of the International Group on Earth Observations (GEO), Chairman of the Governing Board of BioBased Industries (BBI), alternating Chairman of the GB of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and Member of the GBs of the Joint Undertakings Fuel Cells and Hydrogen (FCH), CleanSky (CLS) and Shift2Rail.
