Head of Supply Network Innovation & Analytics
BiographySven Verstrepen holds MSc. degrees in Applied Economics (Antwerp University, 1996), Marketing Management (Vlerick Business School, 1997) and Logistics Management (Flemish Chamber of Engineers, 2004).
He is an experienced supply chain entrepreneur and pioneer with several logistics innovation books and publications on his name.
Sven started his career in 1997 as an academic researcher in Management Information Systems at Vlerick Business School. In 1999, he became a business analyst at Agfa-Gevaert, where he was responsible for various European SAP/APO and supply chain improvement projects.
In 2004, Sven joined the Flanders Institute for Logistics where he was responsible for innovation projects in collaborative logistics, closed loop supply chains and sustainable logistics.
In 2008, Sven became 1 of the 3 co-founders of TRI-VIZOR, an Antwerp University spin-off company that soon afterwards gained international recognition as the world’s first neutral trustee for logistics horizontal collaboration.
In 2015, TRI-VIZOR sold part of its technology to Belgian logistics group AHLERS, where Sven is now the Head of Supply Network Innovation & Analytics (ASNIA) for the European region.
Sven has a keen interest in technology, sports and corporate social responsibility and he’s a frequent guest speaker at universities, schools and international conferences.
