Plenary 4: Power of Sharing: Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure Building Sustainable Economies

With implementation of the sustainable development agenda gaining momentum and becoming more urgent; countries and multi-stakeholders of the development community are beginning to understand the significance of geospatial information and technologies as fundamental inputs in building a sustainable world. A robust geospatial knowledge infrastructure can assist to bridge the geospatial digital divide through regional and global geospatial knowledge network initiatives. Top-level executives from national geospatial agencies and development communities will deliberate the power of data sharing and its impact in building new and sustainable economies, and discuss how to ensure that the geospatial data revolution reaches the grassroots and is actionable at all levels.
