Technology Session: Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT)

5 MAY 2023

Overview

The world we live in today is critically dependent on space-based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services such as GPS, GNSS, GLONASS, etc. Consequently, reports suggest our economic and social reliance on real PNT- solutions is worth approximately USD 1.4 trillion, which is expected to grow significantly in the next few years due to dependence on location-based services and ubiquitous geospatial penetration. It is also estimated a GPS outage can cost a massive loss of USD 45 Billion a month! Therefore, the time is ripe for countries and economic verticals worldwide to explore new, complimentary, robust, resilient PNT systems to discover, analyze and protect economic workflow and social operations within a country.
