Biography

Martin Salzmann is strategy lead with the Netherlands' Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency (Kadaster).

Martin has a background in academia as a researcher in navigation systems. At Kadaster he has held various advisory and management positions in the field of reference systems, cadastral surveying and mapping, quality assurance, marketing, policy and strategy. Currently he is actively involved in shaping the Netherlands' SDI, digitalisation of the public sector and strategic planning for Kadaster. In the European arena Martin is member of management board of Eurogeographics (representing Europe's National Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authorities) and is a past president of EuroSDR (European Spatial Data Research that focusses on applied research in spatial data by NMCA's, research institutes and academia).
