Biography

Francesca has jointly worked with the Istituto di Scienze Marine (ISMAR-CNR) and La Sapienza University, obtaining a PhD in applied Mathematics in 2022. Her research has focused on time series analysis and extreme events' detection within the Copernicus Climate Change Service. She is strongly involved in volunteering as President of Retake NGO, whose mission is to improve urban liveability by putting together citizens, public institutions, companies, schools, etc. for concrete actions to preserve the environment while enriching the sense of belonging. She has recently joint ESA on GTIF project, whose aim is to develop interactive information supporting Green Transition actions, following a stakeholders' co-design approach.
