GeoChicas is an initiative born in Latin America and adopted globally to carry out joint, feminist, collaborative and participatory projects with the aim of closing the gender gap in the OpenStreetMap community, where it is estimated that women represent 3% of the people who collaborate globally. GeoChicas also partners with other gender-oriented groups within the geo community as well as the overall opensource community.
