BiographyDr.ir. Alex van der Helm works as Consultant Water Technology at the Research and Consultancy department of Waternet. Van der Helm does project management, he advises on drinking water treatment technology and on IT and Water research and innovation. Currently he also leads the Waternet Datalab, a data science team that implements Artificial Intelligence solutions in the operations of Waternet. Van der Helm will present results of the EU Horizon 2020 Fiware4Water project, which involved developing and deploying of multiple real-time AI applications for wastewater treatment at Waternets Amsterdam West wastewater treatment plant.
