BiographyHeather is a Senior Geospatial Analyst at the Office for National Statistics where she is responsible for undertaking and leading geospatial analysis that supports outputs from across the Office and for Census 2021. She also leads a team of analysts who work to produce results and improve disaggregations for the UK’s reporting of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Prior to working at ONS, Heather held roles in engineering at the University of Southampton and in marine geophysics at Fugro, where she processed and analysed geophysical data to support marine development and conservation.
Heather is currently Co-Lead for the Women in Geospatial+ Mentorship Programme which facilitates and encourages mentorship for women+ in the geospatial sector from across the world. She is also a Chartered Geographer and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
