BiographyJames is the Geospatial Lead at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) since 2008. Since 2017, James has led a team focused on delivering centralised geospatial services on behalf of the Health Protection Agency, Public Health England and now UKHSA.
Since January 2020, the Team has been busy supporting the UK Governments COVID-19 response, providing geospatial visualisation, analytics and linkage to inform the response. This includes developing and delivering the first public facing COVID-19 dashboard and linking COVID-19 data to standardised address management data for property level cluster identification.
The team is also proud of the work it does to provide geospatial support for all public health hazards at home and abroad, including supporting International Health Regulation for UKHSA Global Public Health Programmes in Africa, Asia and UK Overseas Territories.AbstractApplying geography for public health at UKHSAThe presentation will focus on the work of the UKHSA Geospatial Team to support all hazards and COVID-19 and developing a sustainable Geospatial function for the future.
