BiographyProf. Dr. Dieter Fritsch has about 60 years professional experience in all fields of GeoInformation Science. He started an apprenticeship in surveying with age 13 (1964) in a cadastral office and officially retired as Full Professor of photogrammetry and surveying and director of the Institute for Photogrammetry, Univ. Stuttgart, Germany. In between he was also appointed Vice President (1998-2000) and President (2000-06) of the University of Stuttgart.

Academy of Sciences and Arts, Munich; 2017 now: Vice Chairman and Board Member UN-GGIM Private Sector Network, United Nations, New York, USA; 2014 - now Visiting Professor Computer Science & GIS at Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST), Khartoum, Sudan; 2013 now: Visiting Professor Surveying & Architecture at the German University in Cairo (GUC), Egypt; 2005-12 Member of Apples University Education Forum, Apple Inc., Cupertino, USA; 2002 now: Member Board of Trustees the German University in Cairo (GUC), since 2016 Vice Chairman GUC BoT for Academic Affairs; 2002 2006: Member Board of Directors Leica Geosystems, Heerbrugg, Switzerland; 2000: Academic Co-founder The German University in Cairo (GUC), Cairo, Egypt.
