AbstractReaching net zero with geospatial technologies Carbon neutral energy generation has had massive growth rates in recent years, though in many countries and regions it may take decades to achieve the transition to an energy system that is net zero carbon. Is Geospatial technology suited to speed up this the transition process and provide data and insights that lead to an accelerated investment into low carbon technologies and perhaps more efficient use of Energy
We are going to look into current barriers to access geospatial energy data but also highlight a number of recent successes in providing access to geospatial energy datasets on a local, regional and national level, supporting climate change objectives.
