BiographyPon LERTSAKDADET is the AIP Project Leader at Airbus Defence and Space, Thailand. He leads the AIP development in Thailands Nan Province, in collaboration with Thailands Space Agency, to utilize satellite and geospatial data and turn them into a systematic tool that helps support decision making for authorities and high-ranking officials. His expertise contributes to filling the gap between geospatial technology, thematic processing and governmental administrations in the Thematic Solution Center of Airbus Defence and Space. AbstractSatellite & Actionable Intelligence Policy (AIP) to support sustainable developmentAirbus and its partners have developed specific sets of methods and tools to provide support for decision makers in the frame of sustainable development in the province of Nan, Thailand. These sets of methods and tools called AIP enable users to measure sustainable development through various indicators, all of which were co-designed by the local stakeholders themselves. The AIP also allow users to identify issues, support action plan simulation, and assess the possible results of the chosen action. For instance, it is used to manage the reforestation campaign, propose new alternative crops to affected farmers, and evaluate the impact of reforestation on other aspects such as ecosystem and socio-economic.
