BiographySince she started at the Geospatial Commission, Ruth has developed and coordinated many of the UK key geospatial policy projects through extensive stakeholder engagement and growing her own geospatial knowledge. She has notably developed and overseen the location data ethics policy work and the publication in December 2021 of a unique (first in the UK and the world) report on the perception of the public on the ethical use of location data. She has also coordinated and published the findings of research on location data opportunities for UK transport and is now shaping opportunities to improve the use of location data in electric vehicle charge point planning.
