BiographySandra Moreno is technical Director of Geoestatistical Division at the National Administrative Department of Statistics in Colombia - DANE. She is a Cadastral Engineer and Geodesist with a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems in Salzburg University. Currently, she is co-leading the Working Group on Integration of Statistical and Geospatial Information of the UN-GGIM Americas. She has worked mainly in the public sector where she has identified the importance of Earth sciences, geospatial information, and technologies to support public policy, understanding territorial dynamics and informed decision-making.
