BiographyProf Michael Gould is doctor in Geography (GIS) from the University at Buffalo (New York) and has been professor of information systems at the University Jaume I (Spain) since 1997.

At UJI he has taught GIS and also SDI since 2006. He participated in the Spain national SDI project and served on the INSPIRE metadata implementing rules drafting team. He was a Council member and chair for 6 years, of the Association of Geographic Information Laboratories in Europe (AGILE).

In 2009 he joined Esri Inc. and is global education manager, interacting with over 10,000 universities and numerous capacity development projects via Esris more than 80 offices around the world.
