BiographyMonica Sebillo is an Associate Professor in Information Processing Systems at the Department of Computer Science, University of Salerno (Italy). She is an ACM senior member and the president of AMFM GIS Italia.

Her research interests include spatial databases and geographic information systems, Human-GIS interaction and territorial intelligence services. As GIS Laboratory Director, Monica is involved in international and national research projects and has several collaborations with national and international institutions. She also collaborates with primary and secondary schools to promote geo-education initiatives. Monica is the author of more than 100 publications in international journals and conference proceedings.
