BiographyBritta Ricker is an Assistant Professor in the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. Her research and writing focus on the use of accessible spatial technologies, for example mobile map interfaces and Unmanned Aerial Systems, for monitoring and communicating the effects of environmental change. Her work combines qualitative research methods with cartography, and GIS in an effort to draw attention to underrepresented regions and populations. Most recently, she and her co-authors together published a book with the United Nations and the International Cartographic Association titled Mapping for a Sustainable World.
